Employment & Café Services Coordinator

There currently exists a Part-time, 20 hr/week openings for an Employment and Café Services  Coordinator at New Leaf. In keeping with Transitions’ mission and core values, this unique position combines nonprofit café operations with employment training and support for individuals working to overcome barriers to employment.  

In this role, you will:  

  • Support the day-to-day operations of our nonprofit café as a vocational training site,  including Saturdays  
  • Assist participants in developing workplace readiness, customer service, communication,  and professional skills  
  • Create a positive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based learning environment   Provide encouragement, coaching, and support as individuals build confidence and  prepare for employment  
  • Help create a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers, participants, and staff   Maintain accurate documentation and participant records as required
